Update from Bro. Jeremy

Greetings to my Memorial family!

I want to thank you all for your prayers and wanted to give you a bit of an update on Cross Point. After months of prayer and gathering a network of support we were able to get underway with the actual church planting in January. Presently we are receiving funding from the Baptist General Convention of Texas, the Golden Triangle Baptist Association (both of which a portion of your tithes and offerings go to support), and eight partnering churches from Houston to Beaumont. We have begun meeting weekly for worship and fellowship with seven families active in the launch process. Our first worship service was January 8 and we have been blessed in each gathering since! The Spirit of the Lord is evident and He has abundantly provided in our time in the Word, in our attendance, in our offerings, and in our fellowship. Every week our group seems to get closer and closer. These relationships create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for newcomers.

We also meet on Wednesday evenings for prayer. Each week we gather in one of our homes and pray together for the Lord to work through us. Then we separate between men and women to share personal prayer requests. Of course we are Baptists so we eat every time we get together! Our Sunday worship is at 4:00pm (followed by potluck supper each week) and we'll begin Sunday morning worship on Easter Sunday. These first three months are to form the core group of charter members and to identify evangelistic prospects in the community.

On the home front everyone is well. Blair, Asher, and Piper are all doing great. We're blessed with two sweet kids (and good sleepers). A couple weeks ago we were driving by Memorial and Asher started saying "Church, church, church!" I'm thankful for our days of ministry with you and the many good memories we have. We miss you and hope to see you all again soon. Keep those prayers coming!

Grace and Peace,

Jeremy Bradshaw
